Hello to the WCDC Staff:
I am writing out of sheer amazement of the
procedure I went through on Tuesday 15 April. The team of
individuals who were present is nothing short of spectacular! It
was a well orchestrated event and as I remember, it goes a
little like this:
Carol arranges my appointment as well as
reminds me of it the day before. I had not forgotten as I had
been thinking about it for a week. And, there were not many
pleasant thoughts as each time I did think of it, the visions
were not heartening. She also gave me careful information of my
meds and checked to see if I was doing them prior to the
appointment. I had not forgotten….. She also gave me meds on
departure.
Sheena escorts me back to the room and
reassures me that I will be pleasantly surprised. My blood
pressure was probably through the roof when I viewed all the
blue cloth covered tables followed by wearing a blue robe and
bib in the chair. This casual young lady was full of
reassurances as she topically prepared my mouth for the “start”.
And all through the procedure I was “awesome” and “good job” as
she manned the aspirator and used more chap stick on me than I
have used all my life! Very attentive and alert! Nice job
Sheena.
Jenna the photographer was all over the
place. Upside down, inside out, with mirrors, whatever, she was
aware of everything that needed to be documented. While I do not
know what resolution the digital photos were in, she either had
a very large capacity memory card or a lot of spares. Another
casual young lady full of reassurances of “good job” and
“awesome”.
Rachael the instruments, screws, nuts, and
bolts young lady who seemed to be acutely aware of everything
the magician was doing. It was very obvious there is a
tremendous amount of understanding that needs to be had before
one can master the procedures before they occur. Another young
lady giving me the “good job” and “awesome” kudos.
Then there is Dr. Wardius. I’m too old and
respectful to use any other term than Dr. Wardius for a man of
such skill, dexterity, and professionalism. He made me aware of
everything he was going to do before he did it. After a while he
did not say anything because his expertise was obvious. He gave
me several opportunities to adjourn for this session and come
back at another time. Why? This was almost a piece of cake. As I
later told my wife, I have had tooth restorations in the past
that were fare more uncomfortable. As a new patient, I can only
imagine what could have been prevented!
I was tentative when I thought about doing
all this to my teeth which were in a sad state of condition.
There was no need to be concerned or tentative. I would be
tremendously disappointed now if I had not had this work done!
